New design concept for O2 Lounge restaurant
Ritz Carlton hotel, Moscow
The nature touch on a summer view terrace right in the heart of Moscow.
Project aim
Our aim was to create an unusual space which is different from a rich and luxury Ritz Cartlon concept but still matches it perfectly.

Main goal is to attract new audience, including 30+, which will bring new atmosphere to the place.

O2 Lounge is a place to relax and to enjoy the best Kremlin view. To create a unique atmosphere our team decided to design a cozy place with reference to backyard gatherings of young people. Romantic aura will help attract young clients and keep them.

That is how the new concept – Backyard Carlton – was born.

We analyzied current situation, project aim and highlighted the following problems:
not enough seating places – people are standing near the sofas and making people who sit feel uncomfortable
"emptiness" feeling –
not all zones are used in an effective way
no unique concept –
people are tired of basic design and widespread luxury details (gold, sparkles, etc)
With the help of new concept – Backyard Carlton – we plan to cover all the problems.

12 tables with 4 chair. Total amount 48 places
Sofas and swing sofas
12 sofas with 6 tables, 4 swing sofas. Total amount 32 places
Bar stools
6 tables with 18 chairs and long bar counter with 13 chairs. Total amount 31 places
Amphitheater

All "hot" zones (according to sales potential) are used as seating places:

At the entrance the visitors see the main dinning zone and the stage.

The amphitheater adds diversity among seating places and creates a nice cozy area to enjoy concerts and relax.

At the bar tables zone the visitors will enjoy Tverskaya's traffic jams view while drinking coffee or something more interesting. :)

The selfie wall interacts with the visitors showing them the way to a food truck with a call to grab some food there.
The unique design will attract the visitors and inspire them to photograph the beauty of the place.

Food truck is a center of modern street food that the visitors can enjoy on different seating places including the amphitheater. Our team separated sofas from food truck to make people on sofas feel more comfortable by using of the following construction:
